From the beginning of the twentieth century, many forms of pasta have been inspired by mechanics and the automotive industry, such as Radiatori (radiators) or Lancette (clock hands).
Rotelline (tiny cog wheels), just like the bigger version Rotelle, were also created by this tradition and have a round shape with spokes joined to a ridged rim.
Small children love the original, whimsical shape of Rotelline which are excellent for preparing broths and hearty minestrone soups made from pulses and vegetables.
Available in 500g pack.s
Mezzi Tubetti Rigati (ridged half tubes) are a smaller variation of the classic Tubetti Rigati and are part of the very short, dry, straight cut, ridged pasta family from southern Italy.
The shape is what gives this pasta its name because it resembles small tubes.
Mezzi Tubetti Rigati are recommended for preparing soups with beans or lentils, or vegetable broths.
This pasta is also excellent for preparing very delicate pasta dishes with light tomato and basil sauces.
Available in 500g and 3 Kg packs.
