Tubetti rigati ‘all’italiana’ with beans

  • 1 stick celery
  • 100 g Bacon
  • 1 medium size potato
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ green pepper
  • 1 carrot
  • 300 g beans
  • ½ medium size onion
  • salt

Chop finely together the onion, the celery, the pepper, the carrot and the garlic.Then add the diced bacon; brown the lot in a deep saucepan, pour the chunks of potatoes in, cook them and mash them with a fork, once boiled, add the beans with 1,5 litre of warm water (eventually two stocks).Boil for 30 minutes, add the pasta and the salt, wait about 8-10 minutes before serving.The green pepper gives this dish a very special flavour.
